Paul Johnson

After qualifying from Newcastle University with a BSc in mechanical engineering, Paul started his career with nine years in aerospace in Scotland developing inertial navigation systems followed by 7 years in Switzerland as technical lead and project manager on several space hardware developments for scientific satellites.

He blended the rigorous design documentation and analytical requirements with an innovative and hands on engineering approach to achieve impressive results.

Paul then spent seven years in Cambridge based consulting, working in all industries and managing the largest projects for key clients successfully, also taking on major activities himself such as concept generation/selection, design lead, configuration management and transfer to manufacture.

Never happier than when he is doing hard engineering sums, Paul is grateful that Coalesce doesn’t penalise him for holding an MBA.

Paul currently lives in Maryland with his wife and son. In his spare time he swims, cycles, plays rugby league and tries to keep up with the progress of his beloved Hull City FC.
